PDF Master is supported by non-intrusive contextual advertising. We do not sell your data, charge subscription fees, or add watermarks to your files.

The core tools work with PDF files. Conversion tools also support Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), and image formats (JPEG, PNG, WebP). Each tool page lists the exact accepted formats.

Most tools process your files privately, so they never leave your device. A few tools — such as Office conversions, OCR, and AI tools — need to upload your file to complete the task.

When a tool needs to upload your file, it is handled securely and never retained beyond completing your request. We don't keep copies of your documents.

AI tools (Summariser, Chat with PDF, Translate, Extract Data, Question Generator) send your document text to the Anthropic Claude API for processing. If your document is strictly confidential, use one of our other tools instead or review Anthropic's data handling policy before proceeding.

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (if you log in) and optional analytics cookies to improve the service. You can use all tools without accepting analytics cookies.

Many tools have no fixed file size limit — performance depends on your device. Tools that upload your file accept up to 50 MB by default. Individual tool pages show the specific limit.

Tools that support multiple files (Merge PDF, JPG to PDF, Image Compressor) let you upload as many files as you need. The limit is your device's available memory, not an artificial cap.

Most tools process your files without uploading them, so no data is sent to our servers and your files stay private on your device. The few tools that do need to upload a file handle it securely and keep it private.

Some operations — like converting PDF to Word, running OCR on scanned documents, or applying AI analysis — need extra processing power to complete. For these, your file is securely uploaded and processed.

All tools are mobile-responsive and work in any modern browser. Many tools work particularly well on mobile since no file upload is needed. Very large files may be slow on older devices due to memory limits.
